Eeva Siljamäen väitöskirjassa tarkastellaan improvisaation moninaisia mahdollisuuksia musiikkikasvatuksessa. Tutkimuksen tavoitteena on edistää improvisaation teoretisointia sosiaalisena toimintana ja pedagogisena lähestymistapana sekä luoda ymmärrystä siitä, miten yhdessä improvisointi voi edesauttaa musiikillista oppimista sekä parantaa myös elämänlaatua.
